John
Brooks
design and Supervision
John Brooks has enjoyed a long reputation as one of Indianapolis’ most
innovative, artistic and creative custom home builders. With over
20 years of “hands on” experience, John has accumulated
a vast reservoir of knowledge, talents and job skills. John is one
of those rare builders who visits each project daily to review and
direct the work of every trade involved in each project. He is often
seen with a tool belt on, at work on small aspects of the job, sometimes
just pushing a broom. His in-depth technical and design comprehension
provides critical support to the various subcontractors, while exacting
a demanding level of quality and workmanship. John recently became one of the select group of professional builders, remodelers and other industry professionals nationwide who have earned the Certified Green Professional (CGP) designation. CGP graduates have knowledge of the best strategies for incorporating green building principles into homes.
The CGP program is administered by the IBA Housing University in conjunction with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) University of Housing. John has participated in the past on various
committees formed to review the Indiana Building Codes as well as
the Quality Builder Standards of the Builder’s Association
of Greater Indianapolis. John has previously
served on the Board of Directors for BAGI and was instrumental in organizing the Association's first Green Committee and serves as it's current chairman.
"An organization is only as good
as the people at the top. You've
got to lead by example if you expect anyone to follow." |
